Trailer Name The Haunted Mansion
Year 198
Make Scamp
Model
Length 13'
History The Mansion began as a standard 13' Scamp. Completely gutted, we completely rebuilt her and named it after our favorite attraction at the Disney parks. We know that at one point, the trailer was property of the U.S. Government and used as a rental in California (Marine Corps Station El Toro) and somehow ended up in Colorado. After 9 months of restoration, our "Haunted Mansion" was ready to hit the road again!
Interior
The interior was completely redone from scratch. A previous owner had stripped the interior to the bare walls. Modifying the floor plan somewhat, we put cabinets in where the gaucho bed once was and added a dorm fridge, window air conditioner, and microwave. We also enlarged the dinette and added a back bench to make the bed bigger. We also added overhead cabinets all around the interior. All lights are 12v LED with the exception of four reading lights on the corners of the dinette. Floor is oak laminate and the counter tops/table are laminate.

Exterior
The exterior is painted with a Honda Aubergine (purple) on the bottom and a Ford gold on the top. The rock shield is painted the same purple as on the bottom and sports a decal of the three hitchhiking ghosts from the Haunted Mansion at Disney -- Phineas, Ezra and Gus - along with the trailer's name! The one major mod is that a previous owner cut a large window over the kitchen area, giving us two windows on the driver's side!

Customization
It's hard to highlight customization since the whole trailer is essentially custom-built, but we really like the huge front counter, the aluminum tile backsplash and the "power tower" which also functions as the roof support on the driver side of the trailer. There are two outlets (for a total of four plugs) in the tower, and each plug is equipped with two USB outlets! Under the front cabinet is a power strip to plug in things like crock pots, cameras, coffee pots, etc.

Renovations
On the renovations side, we added a room air conditioner and vented the unit to the outside using hatch covers. The hole in the front is the exhaust, the one on the side is the fresh air intake. Another renovation is the addition of door bumpers behind the spare tire to hold it tight against the body of the trailer without rubbing against the surface of the trailer.

Tow Vehicle
Our tow vehicle is a 2012 Honda Pilot.
