I have been towing a 13' Scamp with a 2010 Forester and have had no issues. However, I have not towed in the mountains.

Welcome Carl, my wife and I have a 13' Scamp with bunks, a 100# Old English Sheepdog and pull with a 2010 Subaru Forester. We are very comfortable with this set up. Good luck with your decision.

I should clarify. We like the bags for convenience. They are for use in our 13' Scamp with a furnace. Sometime we also decide to sleep in the bunks so the bags make more sense to us..

Bikes in transit

At our destination the bikes will be locked to trailer, but often we don't lock them, depends on campgrounds. When in transit we remove bikes from inside. Takes just a few minutes. Like I said...
