Will all due respect, one should never use thread sealer of any kind on a compression or a flare fitting.
They are made to seal metal to metal. Using a sealer could cause a leak.

The only vent is on the blackwater tank. A piece of 1/2'' pvc thru the roof. You are correct on the shower drain. It's vent is the sink. there is a fitting on the side with a pvc cap...

Heavily modified is not the words I would use.
Rigged is more like it. The water lines to and from the water heater have been run in 3/8 copper tubing thru holes in the floor without sealing....

Did these trailers have a grey water tank or just the black water tank?
If I pour anything down the sink it just comes up in the shower unless the outside drain is open.
