Also, it didn't take 12 man hours for that area, which was about 2'× 7'. Gelcoat is pretty tough- much more so than clear coat on your car. Good luck & report results.

Forgot to mention- I tried myself using Meguiars products with a rotary polisher. I was using foam pads and the pros used wool, which with the 3M is just more aggressive.

Not sure that is true. My previous 2013 GM 5.3 got me 12-13 mpg; My 2019 3.5 EcoBoost gets 13-14 mpg. The GM I towed with over 60K miles; the Ford 8K miles.
