How about a 12VT heated blanket or a heated throw cover? We use an 120 electric blanket, and boy is it nice! I have even seen microwave heated slippers that look good.

Better look at bed length also, I am 6,5' and the Scamp was too cramped, I ended up with a Burro 17 with a huge bed. The Escapes have some nice models you should take a look.
