Update

Yikes, $800 is pretty high...the GC6AA-10E Atwood is $455 on Amazon.

I think I have it all figured out now with the wiring...still trying to decide where to put the switch. I'm worried about it...

I have to replace the water heater in our 19' Scamp. I want to change from gas-only to gas/electric. If someone has done this, I would appreciate some photos showing where they put the switch panel...

Thank you all for your feedback. I’m hearing lots of good advice. I’m getting a feel for the best length of stay for my family but I know that can evolve and may depend on the trip we are taking.

A previous owner had black duct tape along the door sill. It looks like it's holding on a deteriorated piece of weatherstripping.
