Just prepping our Scamp for a road trip, doing all the usual stuff and got to wondering what do others do, especially sanitizing the freshwater tank and system. I'm using the Clorox method, but...

Tired of jacking up and down!

Been thinking of this one for some time now. Unfortunately I had to replace my original jack to get one with top access. The side crank on the original jack was curved too close to the column to...

We bought a 13' Scamp last year new with the receiver hitch option on the back end. I just ordered a bicycle rack for it, and want to know how much weight it's rated at. I sent an email to Scamp a...

Thermostat question

I am very dissatisfied with the temperature control in my new Scamp 13. The furnace either roasts us out or allows the temp to drop to uncomfortable levels. From what I can see the thermostat that...

Storage points

Okay, I finally got the slab poured (a nightmare for sure) and now I'm ready to park my 2019 13' Scamp on it, where do I put the jacks to support the frame and relieve the load on the torsion axle?

Furnace question

I can either roast myself out or freeze in my 2019 Scamp 13. When I check the thermostat it seems to lag by about half an hour to what the temperature actually is. With the thermostat set for 70...

Yep

I grease mine with a light coat of lithium grease. And when not in use I cover it with a short piece of 2 inch ABS and a PVC pipe cap with a magnet inside. Keeps dust and road grime out of things.

I thought about wheel locks.

I figured they'd just take the wheel off and install my spare. I ended up getting a tongue lock by Proven Industries. It is stout and pretty tough. So far no one has attempted to steal my trailer,...

Trailer hitch cover

So, I learned it is a good idea to grease one's trailer hitch ball. It only took me two pairs of messed up jeans to see the downside of this, so I went to work. about 2 inches of 2 inch ABS, a 2...

Yep

Found that cheap white lithium grease works well enough, but is messy, so i took a short piece of 2 inch ABS pipe and a PVC cap and screwed a magnet into the top of the cap. It protects the ball...

Yippie... Got it to work.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question. I tried several settings and finally found that "Warm" works. Water coming from the hot tap reads 123/124ºf. Which is adequate for my purposes.

Adhesive to mount things to fiberglass

I would use a good brand of epoxy and no rigid fasteners like screws or rivets. The reason being that if a serious impact happens it won't wreck your fiberglass substrate, but the adhesive is likely...

Actually the thing that will get you stuck on the side of the road is cooling capacity, or the lack there of. That's why they have extra radiator capacity included in towing packages.
