Same with my 2020. Cruddy contacts in the switch. After fighting it since new, I bought a can of quick dry contact cleaner from Ace Hardware, gave it a shot and it’s better than new.

I for one would not even temporarily want to use an elderly spare. I have a Casita, so three tires. I rotate all three so they’re evenly worn and aged and will replace them as a trio.

My Audi provides some 12v to the trailer, not enough to run the fridge. I don’t know if that pin powered when no trailer is connected, but the vehicle definitely knows when the trailer is plugged in...

Overnight stop at Snow Canyon State Park in Ivins, UT on our way home from TX to CA with our new Casita. Beautiful place but 107F, we’ll come back at a cooler time of year!
