I wouldn't know how to coat the entire road-exposed floor surface without first separating the floor from the frame. Actually, you would need most protection in those areas directly between the frame...

I recommend that you use good quality 3/4" plywood to replace your floor. I like Birch "Euro-ply" which features 7 to 9 plies for a lot of integrity.
