When dealers are involved, base price and options based on MSRP are meaningless. All that matters is the final selling price. I'd guess most units delivered to dealers had fairly complete option...

I consider a full-size, half-ton, crew cab, short bed pickup "behemoth." They dwarf my 8-passenger Pilot, which I consider a "large" vehicle.

Many people obviously consider them "just right." ...

Not much I expect. As you say, you do not really need manufacturer support to maintain a used molded trailer. A few things- the door hinges, for example- could be problematic, but I'm not aware of...
