New Ranger is rated at 7500 lb tow, 1860 payload. The 2.3 EcoBoost they are using is pretty impressive 270 hp and 310 ft lbs torque. This is from Ford website never drove one. What's your kid's boat...

My 2.7 F150 tows my 5.0TA Escape effortlessly. If Ford where to go Ecoboost in the Ranger I think the 2.7 would be a better fit.
