PayPal, & split the fees

Recently used PayPal for a craigslist purchase; they do add on fees, so we just deducted half the fees from the purchase price and I paid the balance, thereby "sharing" the fee cost and completing an...

No bad! I didn't have a pic posted here, and Trailorboats are rare, so it was hard to tell what I was trying to solve.

Looks like we who love fiberglass campers, also love the water. Just goes...

Love inflatables, too.

A inflatable boat is an interesting alternative solution to dealing with a big heavy hard bottom boat. If you have never tried one, give it a whirl. You will amazed by their inherent stability, light...

Drifting out to sea, haha... I wish!

Jon, you are correct, it's solving the Trailorboat issue that I'm working on. (Trailorboat image attached, so it will make more sense). I do have an inflatable kayak and love that for it's...

Well who knew wheel clamps started in Denver?

I hadn't heard of the "Denver Boot"... who knew these things started in Denver??!! Thank you, Denver. I'm looking at the ones that cover the lug nuts and fit a 12' tire.

I know of another...

Good one, Charlie.

Haha; that sounds like quite the perfect day on the water! I did think about getting transom wheels that you bolt on the transom and roll the boat to the water upside-down, but figure I'm better...

Thanks, everyone! I used some of these great ideas.

Thank you for all the great ideas! I've ordered one of the canoe dollies from the link above, and a couple of heavy duty suction handles similar to the one in the link further above, so we can get a...

Have used foam strap-on racks with success.

We used a rack similar to this on car roof successfully several years ago; you'd need to add extra-long strap extensions to go all the way under the scamp, & RATCHET DOWN TIGHT. They are great on...

Thanks!

Thanks Danny & Jann, hahaha Donna, and Good to know, Jon. :thumb

I have (very cool) retro hot rod spyder lug nut covers that stick out about 5", so I might be trying a couple of lug-covering...

Great point! I switched her direction so coupler is over a creek.

The condo carport may be of great use IF you can leave something substantial in FRONT of the trailer. That way, thieves have to move stuff before they can hook up (or drag off).

Thanks for all...

Agree!

Agree! Something like this to give a grip if she starts to topple to one side or the other during topping/on-off the camper-roof, since I have a 12-year old on the other side and accidents can...

Trailorboat question; camper-topping & carrying the boat.

Have played with this now and find that there's a risk of the 90lb boat going right over & off one side during loading/unloading; there's just not much to grab. I'm wondering about strong glass...

Brahma too big

Brahma looks bombproof! Smallest wheel size it fits is 13' and mine is a 12', so I don't think it will work, but I did email the company to check. Thanks! Others will find this useful.

Could be the answer..

It is, actually. It'd be pretty funny for a thief to take the 8-bay carport out with the 650-lb camper. Talk about biting off more than they can chew :laugh

Thanks for the tip, CPW

If your dog runs on a 12v battery :pth it'd be perfect.
I love it, too, and am asking the Find It Now company if there's a way I can use it as I don't have a battery, only wiring for shore power. ...

Yes, Jon, C70 convertible.

Yes, the convertible. I don't have a photo of her hitched up and top down because there was too much camping stuff in the trunk for our first trip, but next jaunt I'll be sure to snap a pic! Here...

Question What's your favorite wheel lock?

Trying to secure my new Trailorboat Boat Camper. I can't use Pegway chain as the wheel hubs are solid, and don't know if the clamp style would cover the cool retro Spyder lug nut covers. If you...

Chains on or off for locking her up?

Thanks Alex. Where do you use that padlock? What tracker have you got?

So far I have a cheapish coupler lock, a gun padlock through the coupler pin and chains, but seriously, bad actors can...

... and measured from pin to ball to find a hitch long enough that I didn't have to saw a hole in my bumper :loltu to drop the coupler on. Surprisingly, the ball mount that finally worked was same...
