Doug and Kathy - Thanks alot - and thanks for the cushion offer - we would like to take you up on it- can you send me an e-mail so we could discuss it further? We would be happy to buy them from you! My e-mail is alec(at)favoriteflies.com.
Do you have an awning on Pearl? There is a rail on this one, but the awning is gone. Any info you have is appreciated. We will have more questions for you all I am sure! Thanks to everyone for sharing our enthusiasm - we look forward to saving this gem of a trailer! Alec

The Trillium 5500 is home!

The tires held air!

I lopped off the 7 pin and attached a 4 pin since thats what I have on the truck...
The lights worked!

Screwed the plate on the back and hit the road - an hour of easy towing and grinning and the new Trill' is home!

Note in the interior pics that the front dinette and seating is gone. Hanging above where they used to be is the Trillium hanging bunk option - there is one for each end and they are in great shape. There is additional hardware on the ceiling for hanging them - you can see it in the upper right hand of the pic. Neat! Lots of work to do. Will supply updates as I make progress. The wife and daughter are thrilled! Alec

Al,

Looks like you got some good bones to work with. Congratulations...

The kids would go nuts over those hanging bunks. Can't wait to watch your progress on the Trill

since you're going into rebuild mode, I would suggest putting new framing around all the windows, if you're patient you can peel back the Ensolite and then remove the wood trim.
I re-installed new 3/4 inch plywood(glued in place) with a 45* bevel, then re-glue the Ensolite.
When re-installing the windows use a butyl rubber tape, available from most rv places, and I would use stainless screws.

Thanks Joe - I'm in full tear down mode already, and the wood frame around the bathroom window is shot - rotted away to nothing. The others feel sound under the ensolite, but I'll carefully peel the ensolite back and inspect them.
The floor is a total disaster - lots of rot and ANTS . I think I'm going to have to remove the closet and bath in order to really asses the condition of the floor under there. That said, all the onboard systems seem to work fine and the windows are all in working order as well. I have plenty of work ahead, but I am pleased and excited! Thanks again, Alec
