Wink Trails West Campster

Hello everyone! We have bought a 1969 Trails West Campster. It has been beautifully restored to like new condition! Is there anyone else out there that has one? I wouldn't think we would have the only one, but it would sure be fun to find out if there are others.

There's bunches of kissin' cousins... the Compact family, Family Wagon and Hunter's too! Because all these trailers are more a like than different, you'll find lots of assistance from the membership if you have problems/questions.

I'm with Chris. Any pictures you'd like to share?

I have a 1970, not restored but very functional so probably won't be any time soon. I, too, would love to see photos. What number is it? (VIN number.) There are a few here on the forum.

Robert, you are not alone, I bought my 1970 CAMPSTER yesterday after looking for a Campster or Boler for over a year. I found it 2 miles away just sitting there and NOT for sale. It took me two months to let the owner understand that it (was for sale). The worst part of this unit is....someone mickey moused blue tavern tarp to replace the canvas and it is leaking rain water. Also, some previous owner used 10" x 10" carpet tiles on the walls and ceiling....I guess for insulation ?? It looks
pretty funky.

Hi Robert,
I have a Compact Jr that needs a new interior, which I bought last year. I am looking forward to working on it, but first I have to finish my Cloud project.

Robert, I have one that I bought a few years ago and refurbished it with solar power, a metal popup top since the canvas one had long since been removed, new homemade fiberglass fenders and an overall upgrade to the interior. The beauty of the Campster is that with my Forester attached (including kayaks on top of the car), I still fall under the Washington State ferry increased fees that kicks in once you are over a certain length and/or height.
I too, have just registered to this website and organization (procrastinator that I am) although I have been reading some good advice from it for a few years now. Good source of information and connections with other Campster owners.

Robert, I believe I spent around $1000 buying it and somewhere around $1000 restoring it...not counting my labor of course...which would have been considerably more since I had to build the popup top, fenderskirts, replaced the stove, interior work, etc.
