Ford Escape Towing 16' Casita Spirit

For those interested in the Ford Escape's towing ability - our experience, so far, has been positive. We have been traveling for 8 days (over 1,300 miles) - taking our time on a westerly trek (following Rt. 66). Our lowest mileage so far has been just under 18 mpg. We haven't reached mountains, but have camped in a canyon. We plan to go north from Flagstaff, up to Washington/Oregon border, along the Columbia River and down Hwy. 1 in CA, then back to Rt. 66, then home to Auburn, Al.
