We are Scott and Kathy, and we just adopted a 1977 Triple E Surfside

Greetings all

We just returned from a 2 day 1200km road trip to bring home our new baby, a 1977 Triple E Surfside trailer. She is all original, and in decent shape for 43 years old. Ultimately she will be paired to our 1990 Chev travel van that is currently undergoing restoration.

In the days to come we will be doing an extensive tech survey of the old girl, and starting to figure out what she needs. From there we will decide how to best approach her, we want to keep the spirit and flavour of the 1970's with her, but breathing new life into her too.

We look forward to interacting with the group in the future, and hopefully meeting some of you along the way.

Best regards
Scott and Kathy

Welcome! And good luck in your project.

Pictures are most welcome. Folks like to see the early trailers. Also welcome are reports on how you are progressing.

Hopefully you will be able to bring it to a rally or two. It isn't like you have to worry all that much about someone else having the "same outfit" at the party. :-)

Way to go on a serious road trip to find your trailer! I drove about 625 miles one way to get my Trillium. Only challenge was it was not towable, so fresh tires and temporary lights were a must before bringing it home.

Thanks... As we get into her and formulate the plan, we will do pictures and share our experience as well as ask a lot of questions I am most certain. Hope to get to a series of 'before' pictures today or tomorrow and will post a few up.
