Upgrading 17' Bigfoot Power Centre

Hello all,

The Power Centre in our 1984 Bigfoot is a bit flaky with fuses blowing all the time when I plug into 115V AC. We usually only use 12 Volts but occasionally get a powered site and would like to take advantage of it.
My question is: Can I remove the bulky Power Centre (by SMI) and simply replace it with this product wired in parallel with the battery? I know electronics have come a long way so I'm wondering if this could work.

Thanks for any advice.

ps. I just realized I had posted a question on this very same power centre back in 2015 and at that time I replaced the switch that a previous owner had put in with a fuse, which is the one that keeps blowing. I think the unit is due for replacing.

Delayed response, probably way too late. But I would put in a full power center. I put a PD4135 in my old Trillium. It gives you a main shutoff, 120V AC breakers, and a 12 V DC section as well. All in one at close to the cost of the unit you are considering. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Plenty of people selling them on ebay right now. Be sure to look at feedback scores before choosing the seller.
