weight, the GCWR, and the
weight of passengers and cargo you'll be carrying in or on the tow vehicle.
Figure around 4000# GVW with 400-450# TW for the loaded trailer, based on the two
Oliver Elites in our “Trailer Weights in the Real World” database. That’s a fairly small sample size, and one was running less than 10% TW.

There are online towing
weight calculators that can help with the math, but it’s really pretty straightforward once you have all the data. Add the curb weight plus passengers and cargo plus 450# TW plus about 75# for the hitch (probably needs WDH), and see if you are still under the GVWR. Then add the
axle weight of the trailer (figure 3600#) and see if you are within the GCWR. Most people would want some margin.
