We bought our 1996
Bigfoot 1500 TT from its original owner in 2015. It replaced our beloved
Scamp 13 which did not have a bathroom. Our 9 year old granddaughter was over using the porta potty and she actually spotted the
Bigfoot for sale in the RV park where we were staying. She came back to us letting us know she had seen the
for sale sign and that "it has a real bathroom in it". We bought it that night and have enjoyed it ever since!
The inside was in great shape but after 20 years of being outside, the
fiberglass was dull and the graphics were cloudy and streaked. Cleaning and polishing restored the fiberglas but not the graphics - so we had them all removed leaving us with a blank canvas.
It has taken us a while to decide how to approach the new graphics. The
Bigfoot factory referred us to Sunshine Autographics in British Columbia (sunshineautographics@gmail.com 250-549-3200). They have many of the digital templates for Bigfoot decals. Mark and Daryle there worked with us to identify a couple of the templates used on the 1500 that we wanted to replace. We can't say enough about how patient and helpful they were - sending designs, measurements and sample colors over a period of several weeks.
With their help we were able to settle on just the few designs we wanted and the exact colors. We purposely chose a more minimalist approach to adding back the decals and also chose blue as our primary color.
It only took a couple of days for them to ship the decals. We were able to do the installation ourselves over the course of two afternoons. We are really pleased with the results and want to share a couple of before and after pictures.
