Ok, so windows are very hard to get or very expensive to have made, soooo... I did it myself. There is a rubber rain shield in the top and the plastic window pane will go under it and inside the rest of the frame. The corners are re-enforced with a thin aluminum epoxied to the main frame. Aluminum is stock angle 1/2" and 3/4" from Home Depot.

I have painted them black (pics yet to come) and have to mount the acrylic panes yet. Then mount them into the body. They will be held in with an inside U channel and screws (U-channel will hide point of screws. This mean NO body drilling to mount - or holes of any kind! :vD

Thanks Vickie.

There was some doubt that it would be big enough, but it is fine for us (we're 5'4"-ish). We can both sit face to face and knees aren't even close to touching. Now that said, we also only weight normal - so we can't go put'n on the beef or it'd be a tight fit on the kitchenette side

It'll be nice to have cupboard doors and trim on - I brought materials with us to do it while camping.

I know what you mean about space and the front dinette. We built storage units for BOTH sides of our front dinette. And although I made cardboard mock-ups, and we tried them out---it may be a bit snug now that I have removable padded fronts on them! We can always put the center board in and sit next to each other with the table in front. I'm happy with what I did, so it's all good---don't expect to spend alot of time sitting there---my husband would use it more for his computer work!

Here's a pic before they were finished and have the fronts on them. They will be great for storage!

Siris, my friend who made this one is in that business. He does nothing but aluminum frames. I can put you or anyone else in touch with him. He is in Wingham Ontario Canada.

Karl :v)

Looks cute Vickie! Interesting how we all have our ideas and what works for one doesn't appeal at all to another. I respect anyone's ideas - we all gotta set up these eggs like we like em!
