13 ft Scamp Step

Anyone ever added the entry step that Scamp offers on a 2007 Scamp 13 ft?

If your 2007 still has the factory ride height, I think it'll hang down too low even when retracted. It was only used on the taller 16'ers.

If you have raised your trailer, then it could make sense. Scamp service department could tell you if there are any frame differences around the door that would prevent its installation on an older 13'er.

Better to get or make a portable step
Consensus is that the attached retractable steps do not work well with the Scamp design. I concur.
Be sure that the step you get is large enough so that it has a good landing for your foot for entrance and egress.
Small steps often don't stand firmly and your foot may miss too much of it causing a fall or a twisted ankle.

I am in a similar situation with a 16’Scamp. Need to add steps that are stable for us and elderly dog. Any suggestions on where to look?
