Hmm. The Lil Snoozy seems to have everything a person could want, except existence!

I agree with Barrie, DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY!

Well the good thing is he has a good status:

http://www.scsos.com/index.asp?n=18&...orateid=593224

There is a Robert A Smoak who is a Master at Equity, whatever that is.

I find it interesting that they are located in South Carolina yet have pictures of Washington State on their website.

I think that means he is the owner. Having a charter in good standing just means you have paid your annual dues to that state and filed requisite forms with them. These corporate charters are a matter of public record and easily searched. I used to routinely inspect these Charters while employed with the government. They also have to have an instate resident that will accept summons and other legal documents. There are companies that will charge a fee and act as your "agent" on your absent behalf.
These out of state charters and acting agents are the reason we see tractor trailers registered in one state, Vermont or Tennessee or whatever and the reason is due to their favorable treatment for tax status and annual fees. Where the company is physically located and where it is on paper are 2 different animals.
Whether there is any business activity or product by Lil Snoozy in South Carolina is another story in this case in which time will only give us the answers.

I was curious why they launched a facebook and twitter and registered here. Then poof, disappeared since January. It was my understanding all this would be used to communicate with their potential customers. I was also wondering where the select markets were, that people were testing. And what happened to that gentleman who said he towed one and it was just wonderful? Everyone skedaddled on us ha ha.

While this may be 'the real deal', and just a marketing ploy to create market excitement with suspense, they have created enough concern that I wouldn't put down a deposit waiting for them to build 'my' unit. To each there own but... I wouldn't drive very far without at least a picture of what I'm expecting to see when I arrive.

Alan Smo was the Gentleman who you are referring to and I had emailed him with some questions awhile back. He recently answered saying he had a heart attack and was recovering. He'll be back on the board when he can. I did ask Nicholas about a deposit if we place an order and he said no. He is not accepting any money from anyone at this time not even if you want to be sure you are first in line.

So we have Nicholas Smoak, the one who originally identified themselves as the owner, Robert Smoak, the official incorporator and "master of equity", and finally Alan Smo. You think they are all related? HHmmmm, I smell smoak, I mean smoke.

If I understand the chain of command correctly, Robert is the Dad, Nicholas is the son and Alan is a customer. Clear as mud right??? LOL.

I think that was Larry, Darryl and his other brother Darryl. My wife knew a lady with a couple boys named Pete and Peter. Her sister in law, Christine, named her daughter Christy.

In other news I hope the heart attack recovery goes well. That is a big deal!

Regards,

Matt

a yahoo scamper posted this and says he has photos coming. About Vacuum bagging, i know it's popular in the stickie market. I wonder if it will be a molded fiberglass construction? Hopefully Raya will read this post and share some thoughts.

"Mr and Mrs.
Attached are a few pictures and two of our floor plans. As I stated
before this is simply a prototype, the finished product's fit and finish
will obviously be much better. I hope this gives you and idea of our
design, and as always I will be happy to answer any question I can.
What follows is a brief description of each picture and how the finished
product will differ from what you see here.

Bath Room Shower picture:
This picture was taken facing the rear left of the LiL Snoozy. The
bathroom door will slide forward to aft on a track yet to be installed.
The "porto-potty" you see here is out of my personal boat and will be
replaced with a Thetford Casset Toilet. In my research these are the best
and easiest to use in a smaller camper. Unfortunately the duck-tape and
cardboard box will not be present.
This camper was built using a vacuum bag infusing process, this process
removes all air from the fiberglass before resin is introduced. Your
camper and all that follow will be built using what is called a "counter
mold" or Light RTM process. This uses what is essentially a second mold in
place of the bag. The "counter mold" will give us the same gloss and
texture as the exterior with the same color (a light tan color). It is an
in depth process that I will explain more completely if you are interested.

The walls and floor in this picture are gel coat over unfinished
fiberglass. It is similar in texture to a course fabric. The floors of the
finished camper will be a hard wood laminate or vinyl flooring depending on
the customers choice.

Front Bed:
I added this picture to show our base floor plan. A drawing of the floor
plan you recommended will follow shortly. This is our queen bed model or
LS2/3 models. A custom "Spring Air" queen sized mattress will rest on this
shelf. Under this shelf is storage as well as our gray and fresh water
tanks. The counter in the right of the picture extends to the kitchen
counter down the right side. This is the entertainment center, holding the
TV and added storage.

Kitchen:
This was taken facing the rear right of the LiL Snoozy. The refrigerator
will set in the open hole. The kitchen sink will be over the door in the
far rear with shelved storage beneath. The reason for the full sized door
is for ease of maintenance. Our entire design is geared towards ease of
construction and ease of maintenance. As you will notice we use only the
latest technology in design, as shown by the blue painters tape. The large
blue square to the left is the depiction of where the right side window
will go. This window will be a full egress window, and will double as a
reach though window. The counter is the perfect height for an average
adult to reach through into the kitchen while enjoying the outside of the
camper. The blue square on the rear wall of the camper is, you guessed it,
the air conditioner. While the AC is an RV rated unit it is the same size
and foot print of a standard window mount.

Proto Type:
An Exterior view. The final gel coat will be more tan in color. We are in
the process of designing graphics similar to larger pricyer RV's. Also, I
promise the final model will have a window.

Rear Entry:
This was taken standing outside the rear entry door.

Floor Plan LS3:
This drawing depicts our LS3 floor plan, this is basically what the proto
type will be. With the couch, this floor plan is capable of sleeping two
adults on the bed and a child on the couch. The LS2 will be the same, but
in place of the two seat couch are two sivel rockers separated by a fixed
table.

Floor Plan LS2B:
I am sure this is the floor plan you have been waiting for. All of the
LiL Snoozys will use the same kitchen and bathroom/shower, the difference
is in the living and sleeping areas. For this model we have reduced the
length of the entertainment center and seating area in favor of two single
beds running longways with a narrow isle between them. We are able to
retain the same plush swivel rockers as the LS2.

The proto-type as it sits in these pictures weighs a little less than 1200
LBS. The finished product will be in the neighborhood of 1800LBS dry.
That coupled with the aggressive aerodynamics means the LiL Snoozy pulls
like a dream. I recently towed it with my father's 2008 Cadilac CTS (V6
motor) I set the cruise control at 75 MPH and had plenty of power to pass
even on the steep hills north of Greenville SC. We very rarely even saw
passing gear.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or input. Thank you for
the opportunity to explain our new creation!
