Burro Window Seals

I am going to rebuild the windows in my 1982 13ft Burro. I need some help on where to get the seals. There are a few threads on this, but they don't address all the seals & some are confusing. Has anyone done a complete overhaul on these? Attached below is a picture I made of all the crossections. I thought this may help others also?

In order they are ....
1) Rattle guard
2) Spacer for screen window
3) Channel for sliding window
4) Seal for fixed window
5) Seal for sliding window
6) Seal on crossmember for sliding window.

Any comments on using plastic instead of glass for the replacement windows? My Burro has both right now, mis matched.

Thanks.

Window seals

HiCory. Have you replaced the screens on your Burro windows? Do you know the spline size? Mine are 36 years old and I'm not sure I trust the measurement I've made. .095"
Thanks.

I have a screen pulled from the window I have apart now (the door window). The frame looks good so I am just going to replace the screen. Which dimension are you asking for?

I'm wondering about the spline that holds the screen in the frame. I've tried one that is 1/8" diameter but it fits so tightly that I'm afraid that it's too large and I'll have to search for a smaller diameter spline.

Mine did not have a spline for the screen. The piece shown in the picture was used as a spacer (it was assembled with the flat side to the slide screen). The other side of the screen has the plastic screen clips that keep slight pressure on the screen frame and the window frame. Mine screen frame is large enough that it fits pretty good in the window slot and does not need a spline/channel for the screen.

Thanks Cory. I guess that since my Burro is a 1980 that they must have later changed the way they attached the screen material to the screen frame. Maybe someone else has run into this issue. Good luck with your windows!
