Software recognizes the link in your sig and will block it if you have fewer than 10 ( I think ) posts on the forum. It's set up to block spam.

Nope. The sig doesn't matter. Less than 10 posts matters. That's why I wrote initially: "If I remember right, PMs are not allowed to new users. Be gentle."

For what it's worth, new accounts can send private messages, but the messages cannot include a hot link (this includes email addresses and phone numbers). The work around is to spell out part of the email address (such as "at" or "dot") or the digits of a phone number (one three five four three nine two). This is because of a clever (?) bunch of bandwidth thieves who register and then post livestream links to sporting events (or music awards programs), a practice that would cripple our servers if we weren't able to stop it.
