I just recently completed the floor repair in front of the door of my
Fiber Stream. It was quite an involved process. The floor was bad from the front of the
refrigerator and inside the door all the way into the closet. It involves taking out the cabinet with drawers on the side of the
refrigerator and taking out the front of the closet. It is easier if you take the closet door off separately.
It is then necessary to cut the
fiberglass around the outside to free up the floor. Cut this as close to the bottom of the floor as you can to make it easier to replace new
fiberglass. I cut the floor half way over the 1 x 3 frame being careful not to cut into the aluminum sheet underneath the plywood. When I got it all cleaned out I replaced the section with 1/2 inch plywood and installed
fiberglass at the door and into the closet.
I suspect the water gets in around the wheel well cover since it is on top of the floor with a 1/2 inch plywood spacer between the it and the floor and then it has another 3/4 inch on top of the lip of the wheel well cover. I will see if I can attach a couple of pictures one before and the other after it was all cleaned out. I did not take a picture of the finished project.
