Bunk Supports in Scamp 13

I am trying to scramble & figure out what to use for supports for the bunk in my 1993 Scamp 13. Could I use PVC pipe. Would someone know what measurement I should make them? Thanks so much for your help!!

My Scamp is an 81 so I don't know what the difference is but I used wood hand railing to replace the old ones. Pretty much look like the original ones. I can measure them if needed but again I don't know how much the design has changed.

Thanks!! I could measure the hole & go to Menards or Home Depot & find the right rail. I do not see any place for the rod to go in to the bottom of the top bunk like there is for the bottom. Thanks for the tip.

Mine have a screw in the bottom of the top bunk. I drilled a hole in the end of the rail for that screw to set into. My railing was a bit on the wide side so I tapered the end that goes in the lower holder. I went out and measured them and they are 23 1/8 inches long.

When I bought mine it had one pole with it and the guy said it was original so I made these to match, I plan on staining them in the future to make them look a bit nicer.

Well... thank you VERY much for going out of your way to measure. I will go to Menards early in the AM & find something. They can cut it for me also. Thanks again!!!

Please take a free Scamp bunk post; I've been trying to find a home for it for years!!! Yes, it is in my FGRV stuff/collectables and I had it in my hands this week! Send me a PM after you get home from your big weekend with the Little Ladies. We'll work out the shipping. Have fun.
