Scamp Roof Sag from AC Unit?

Hello. I am looking for a used Scamp 13' trailer and I would prefer to get one with a shower, toilet, and AC unit. I have heard that some older Scamps had issues with the roof sagging from the weight of the AC unit. I do not know to what degree such problems occurred, but, if I recall correctly, a rep from Scamp whom I spoke with told me that such issues occurred mostly on 16 foot trailers made prior to 7 or 8 years ago and have since been addressed and corrected. Have any of you Scamp owners encountered such roof sagging from the AC unit? (One owner cited the lack of stock air conditioning in a Scamp as a good thing that prevented roof sag) Of course, there are also portable units, I guess, that could be vented through a window.
Any of you have any experience, thoughts, or advice on any of this? Thanks for your help.

My Jayco fifth wheel had a sagging roof when I got it. I used a load lock to support the roof when on the road and when in storage. After about four years the sag was no longer noticeable. I still have the load lock and use it in the Scamp when driving more than a few miles. Americas roads are rough, especially bridge approaches. Note that load locks will release if too much pressure is applied, so I have added a safety pin to keep it from releasing on rough roads.

Search this group using google for a.c. roof supports. I found several examples of supports.

My understanding is that roof sag is often related to removal of the cabinet supports. Those twisty metal bits actually are structural. If those are in place, along with any other closets and such, I would think roof sag is less of an issue.

Our 2000 19’ has only needed internal supports during renovations.
