Question Perfect Casita product, shock absorber kit?

What happened to tie site and the items they offered?
I was interested in adding shock absorbers to
the Casita I will receive in 7 months.

This was posted on the CasitaForum on Dec. 2 by webmaster Gene:

"Orbital Machine/Perfect Casita has now removed all of their Casita products from their website and for a very long time had continued to give the impression that they would sell and deliver their products to unsuspecting buyers which they never delivered on. You will never get a product shipped to you manufactured by them as they are only installing their own products at Little Home On The Road."

Some new Casita owners go directly from their pick up at the factory to Little Home on the Road to get the shock kit installed and other modifications that they offer. Check with them for an appointment after your pick up date. Comments seem to be all positive about their services and modifications.

This is true. We went back the following year after making a list from asking folks on the site. You use their calendar to set up a day you can be there. My advice would be to talk to them & ask if you need to schedule one or two days for the work. We had too much work for one day & had to cancel a couple of items. We had the shocks put on. Stuff is still going to bounce around. Your curtains may still fall. ( we fixed this with safety pins )
So it doesn't work as a car shock. But I do feel like they helped because we ended up going on some rough roads.
3-Way Porch Light switch Turn your outside light on or off from inside or outside the trailer
We had upgraded jacks added on. They are great because I had tire problems and you can use the jack to lift the trailer to change a tire.
Light for hot water heater & water pump installed.
Fridge door supports.
Front Cargo Carrier Stromberg Carlson tongue-mounted tray.
The city Fort Worth is an awesome place to visit.
Let us know what you do.

I heard that with the shock kit installed it is hard to get at the brake adjustment slot, and to adjust the brakes.

Brake adjustments with the shock kit are a little harder to get to with them installed, (I know, I have them,) but my work around was to take my torch to a flat blade screwdriver, and heat and bend the last 1 1/2" of it so that it forms an "L" shaped tool, (flat side of the blade should be horizontal when holding the screwdriver blade vertical.) The end of the blade fits in the slot on the back of the wheel and works fine to adjust the star wheel for the brakes even with the shock kit installed.

Yeah, I have them, and I'm not enamored with that feature. And I still have to adjust them manually. So much for their so-called "Never-Adjust" brakes. The only self adjustment is when I get my "self" under the trailer and spin the adjusting pawl wheel manually. Just sayin'.
