Window Leaks 13'Scamp back slider

A little help, or maybe reassurance: last summer the back window on our 2002 Scamp, 13' leaked. I believe it is the "drying up" or contraction of the rubber seals that come in contact with the glass at the bottom of the window.
I got some new window seals from Scamp, they call them rubber glazing, and as soon as I get a warm day I hope to peel off the old and push on the new.
I think the rubber glazing on the non-moving part of the window is ok, but I could replace that too.
Has anybody done this that could give me the benefit of their experience? Anything to do besides new "glazing"?
thanks
Jeff

The seals don't actually keep water out. They are designed to keep dirt out of the edges and cover the raw edge of the glass pane. The glass pane is installed with a water tight seal against the aluminum frame, which after many years can fail. If this happens the glass pane must be removed and reinstalled with new sealant (e.g., 1/4" butyl tape, glazing tape or silicone sealant).

A more likely path for water leaks is over the bottom slider track. Remedy this problem by cleaning the track and unplugging the weep holes. Pour water on the track and verify that the water is flowing out through the weep holes.
