1982 Burro interior refresher!

Just in time for Labor Day weekend, my husband and I updated the interior of our 1982 Burro. I still need to fight out what to do with the seams under the window (suggestions?). The exterior is a project for next year. Click image for larger version

I am currently working on my 81 Burro. The interior is stripped. I love you color scheme and the roof strip. Is the roof piece glued in? Or screwed up?

I love the roof strip with the design. Is it painted and stenciled, or is it fabric? I've been looking for a new solution for my Burro ceiling.

Why, that is just lovely! As you call it a refresher--it is, indeed, refreshing! WOW! Crisp and cool but also warm and inviting.

WOW!

Thanks for the pics and the ideas! I do love the white walls! We always considered we could paint our currently "pickled" paneling (white stained, rubbed back sealed) if we felt like it one day.

What did you use for your galley backsplash? It's so intriguing...

BEST
Kai

Thank you so much! The backsplash is the peel and stick kind. Essentially, a big sticker. It's not perfect, but I like it better than just white.

Lovely! I really like your countertop and table too? Is it painter board? So cheery!

Thanks! my husband built the counter top from poplar wood but I think the table was original. We had to cut the corners on it in order to fit in the dinette seats.

Very nice and colorful. I would also like
to screw some thin birch ply to the ceiling
but have been afraid to drill the holes?
Have you or any other Burro owners had
any issues doing that?
Nice job!

Thank you! The previous owners were the ones who screwed in the seem cover, so the holes were already there. There are 3/8 inch screws with the finish washers Click image for larger version

OK, I'm jealous. It is so personal and unique without being tacky. It is beautiful.

It is pretty common and easy to finish off the seams by gluing in outdoor carpet. I used 3M spray mount as my glue.

Thank you! Great idea on the carpet. I think I was originally turned off by the carpet because the original was still there and it was a dirt collector.
