Does anybody know of some good sites or suggestions on how (where to start) to restore a Havasu? My parents (the best) acquired a Havasu named the "chicken coup" for me, and will start restoring it until I can get home to help. Shell is in good shape, but everything inside must go. There are some photos on this site of a restored Havasu which looks great, knowing what that owner knows will get me on the road just that much sooner.. I attached photos, i think..

Thank you in advance,
Michael

Welcome to FiberglassRV Michael! We're glad you're here You've come to the right place, lots of helpful people on FiberglassRV We've found these little trailers are more alike than different... so electrical, plumbing and propane (etc.) is just all about the same... just depends on how indepth you wish to go and what manufactured product you care to use.

My suggestion is to post one question at a time per topic... under the Problem Solving forum, then sit back and watch the replies roll in.

BTW: I saw my first (and so far only) Havasu at the Oregon Gathering last year... neat trailer!

Welcome!

You might also make some searches on "Compact Jr." on this forum. The CJ is very similar (has pop top where yours has the "bump" on top) and several people have done some major restorations and fix-ups on them (and documented them here).

Absolutely the Oregon Gathering is open to all. Here's a link to the topic... be sure to click the sticky at the top too: Oregon Gathering. Currently 95 trailers coming!

Here's two others close by and coming up: Northern Oregon Gathering - Spring Event and 2009 Washington State Get Together - 2nd Annual, June 4-7, 2009 Taidnapam Park
