Just purchased FiberStream Trailer

Got lucky and found a 1984 Fiberstream on Craigslist for sale here in Los Angeles. It was in very good condition..and everything works. The only problem was a leak in the front window which had been repaired but the original damage had not been fixed. This seems to be the only "problem" and is not much of one as far as we can see.

The outside is great, no dents, dings or scrapes. Inside shows just what you'd expect for a 28 year old trailer..nothing that some elbow grease and perhaps some fresh paint can't fix. I'm just thrilled that I found this and that the previous owners had taken such good care of it.

If anyone knows anything about Fiberstreams or has one..definitely would like to hear from you about quirks, things I should watch for or know about, etc.

Perhaps we'll catch up with some of you at an upcoming rally...looking at the Washington one in June..maybe?

Lucky you! All that nice paneling inside, I like that.

Frederick, with the wheels being so small and making so many revolutions, do the wheel bearings need any more attention than with other trailer brands?

I have mine done once every 3 years on average. The guys at the shop say there's been no unusual wear.

Thanks to all who responded to my post. Made reservations for the San Diego camp trip hoping to meet some of you and get some info and learn a few things or more. Will be bringing home the FS on Saturday, had to get some things for my truck so I can tow it home.

I too, bought a 1984 Fiberstream last year- the owner held on to it for me for 4 months, as I live in PA and the trailer was in Oregon! I had to wait through Winter to make the trip safely...a 5600 mile trip I might add- and soooo worth it! I have now decided to gut my trailer and replace the cabinet, flooring, and walls with a great insulator and noise reduction substance mentioned by BCDave (search Interior Walls.) I wish you the best of luck with your trailer! Mine, too- was impecably kept- all original. Safe travels!
