This is by way of a follow-up to my "Our
Casita Isn't Big Enough" thread,
https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...ugh-95725.html
where I intimated we'd like the new
Escape 23-foot with the twin-bed option (and a dinnette that we didn't have to take down). As I assume the aficianados here know, the E23, as it's known, is not yet in production. Unfortunately, no other
Escape models offer a twin-bed option.
Anyway, I wrote to
Escape and asked for an update on their production schedule, and received this nice note back from Samuel Schneebeli in Customer Service:
Quote:
Thank you for reaching out. Great question! We are planning to build the E23 prototype this year and go into production 2022 forward. We anticipate that once we have built the prototype and are ready to take deposits, we will reach out to everyone who placed their name on the E23 waitlist and offer them a random slot. At that point customers can accept by placing a deposit. That is the plan, details will emerge as we get closer.
Currently, we do not anticipate customer deliveries for the E23 in 2021. However, we hope to build a limited number of E23 in 2022 and have them delivered in 2022. The majority of customers will likely be in 2023 and beyond.

There are not many companies in the molded-fiberglass world that offer twin beds (with a small dinette); see the thread I linked for some discussion (Casita Liberty, Snoozy 2, stickies). The best ones available are of course the
Oliver and the Big Foot, both wildly expensive (I think a Big Foot 25 would be kinda heavy for our Expedition to pull). Not that the E23, when it's finally available, would be cheap, but probably more affordable than those two).
Oh well. Just thought I'd pass on this note. Essentially the same information is available on the Escape website by listening to their monthly video reports.
