Replacement Front Grill for AC on Casita Patriot

I have a 2013 Casita Patriot that I purchased last year. When I removed the vinyl cover from the grill I found that it is in pretty bad shape. Some of the spines are broken. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for this. Casita no longer has that available.

Yes they are no longer available . It was a part that Dometic supplied for the RM122 refer , it was the upper vent grill . Casita also used it on the front of the 13' & 16' with air conditioning .

I replaced mine because it looked a bit shabby and had one of the vertical ribs cracked at the bottom .
It can be repaired by TIG welding and powder coating to be good as new . OR by adding a thin strip of aluminum and rivieting to the inside .

Here' a picture of it . The crack is at the bottom of the left vertical rib .

PM me if you want it .

I had these folks do a custom louver panel for my years ago. Might be worth a call. I think they can do something similar. https://grilles.hvacquick.com/produc...terior-Louvers

Where did you get the one you replaced yours with. Mine looks a bit shabbier than yours. Don't want to replace shabby with shabby.

I once had this problem on another camper I owned and the splines were broken and brittle but still all there. I had some 1/4 strips of cedar I used to make strip canoes with, and they fit right in the spines on the inside, I glued in about a dozen of these on broke plastic ones and they lasted a good long time.

I got it from Casita back in 2010 .

So your choice is to rebuild your grill by repairing the damage straightening the louvers TIG welding any cracks and stripping and powder coating it .

The grill doesn’t seem to be offered by Domestic anymore. It was part of the installation kit for the RM 122 refer . They replaced it with the plastic one everyone uses for the refer vent , and no it won’t work for the a/c .
