Escape 5.0 or 5.0TA

I'm curious, is the Escape 5.0TA that much better than the 5.0? I've seen several of the 5.0TA's and a couple of the single axle 5.0's. Outside of the obvious Tandem axle vs the single axle what are the differences?

"much better" is subjective Steve. The TA, overall, is bigger (wider/taller) and the interior layout is very different in the kitchen area.

How about the weight? Is the TA quite a bit heavier?

This is the brochure for the 5.0 which will probably answer a bunch of your questions.

I can't upload the Classic 5.0TA brochure. It's too big. This trailer is like mine. Steve, if you want the brochure, PM me your email address.

Thank you very much Donna, can always count on you. I did see the inside of yours at one of the NOG's and it is beautiful. I have never seen the inside of the original 5.0.

D-oh! Remember, the 5.0 was only built for seven years. Jan 2007 and the last off the line April 2014.

The Classic 5.0TA, like mine, was built for 3 years. May 2014 to fall of 2017. Now the 2nd Gen trailers only.

That information may help you if you're looking at used or want specific features only available with a specific build.
