We found a replacement
awning for the original curved
awning arms.
If anyone is trying to replace the roller
awning on their older trailer with Dometic awning, we can give the part name and number. Only one minor mod to original arm caps as the new pin is a bit larger than the original 42 year old awning.
The rv supply dealer got it cut to our 12' original size.
The new awning rolls under instead of over so had to add a new track it was added over the old awning mounting brackets instead of under brackets like original track. Left the old track in place and added new Stanley closed end marine rivets to it.
Door opens better and rain sheds better plus the awning does not fill at base with debris and it works with less effort the the old design as it has a leaver for lowering and raising the awning.
