Naked Silver Cloud!

We used today to try to get the Silver Cloud spruced up. We have reservations at a campground for Xmas requires full hook-ups and perhaps a newer-looking camper than we have . The KOA we have stayed at the last several years cannot spray for noseeums since we are close to the water, so they are prevalent and active, biting me!
Kevin spent a long time today scraping off the Silver Cloud stickers. I spent a short time washing those places I had not done previously with Barkeepers Friend. Tomorrow, I will finish the rest. You can see the difference in what has yet to be done.

That is too much! Looks as if it is two colors of paint.

The photo makes the shiny and dull areas look really different colors. It doesn't look quite that distinct to my eyes in person.

does the barkeepers' friend work better than other cleaners designed to remove the oxidation build-up?

I don't know. I bought the Barkeeper's Friend and then bought Poliglow kits with cleaner already in them. Got lots of cleaner now.

I finished cleaning the Egg Carton today, so Kevin can Poliglow it when he gets home. I also broke a light cover, darn it! The lights are all filled inside with Oregon moss except for those I cleaned (I even found some live moss yesterday below the belly band in front. I saved it from dying in the Chicago winter ). Amazing difference between those lights that I cleaned and those not, but now I am afraid to remove any more light covers. Clearly, that plastic was brittle. But, hey, it is clean now!

I ordered a new cover from Amazon. While I loved our Uhaul VT, it is nice to have a camper that has replacement parts!

And it's looking beautiful! I really like the shape- raked front, low profile, and large windows- and clean white look. It ought to go to the head of the line in any crowd.

And now done (Hubby had a replacement for the light I broke. Now we have an extra covering coming ).

Next: New stickers (probably next year) and finishing up the inside. I made curtains for the window that is covered by the rock guard, but I need help hanging them. Since we have not opened that rock guard, they are not high on the priority list.). We need to hang a second TV in the bedroom, so I don't have to watch sports all the time! And, we need to add pictures on the walls (The walls don't really need the pix; we just need to find a place to hang pix!)

Still getting used to the fact that we don't have to carry everything in a suitcase, that we have storage to leave it in the camper.

The front is done and the sides are begun. The design is similar to the original but the teal in the stripes is designed to match our interior redesign and the awning. We used the modern Bigfoot word and design that we found in the Bigfootowner's Club.

Taking a break now to attend a rally.

Here is how the teal color we chose matches the awning. We also plan to replace the small text "Bigfoot" on the rock guard with a larger version. It is what the original was like but the original did not have the mascot, so it throws off the balance and makes that smaller text look weird.

We changed the small "Bigfoot" text on the rock guard for a larger one. The small one matched the original, but it just did not look right.

Kevin also got striping on one side done. The other waits until we are done camping this weekend.

Kevin finished the striping on the Bigfoot Silver Cloud this morning, so except for a tire cover, it is done.

I love the screen room! Yup, this is a big trailer. Not something I would want to take on a North American tour, but a great way to snowbird when you'll be staying in one place for longer stays.
