Good evening,
My wife and I recently purchased a
Boler 1700 and we are trying to figure out the oven door issue. We have a Trav'ler by Elixir Industries and I believe the model No. is 163-50. The problem is that the oven door is sagging. The door opens and closes ok but the door is down about 1/2 '' more than it should. If you use the oven the way it is currently, the knobs for the stove will likely melt. I am wondering if anyone has come across this problem before and if it may just be new door springs that are required. Any help is appreciated.
*Update*
I just took the range apart, the hinge assembly on the right and left inside the door were missing nuts. I found some and tightened the hinges down. The bottom trim piece was not attached, and I attached it. The door is still sagging. I took a closer look at the parts list and pictures, it turns out I am missing # 74 in the parts picture (oven bottom spring) on the left and right side. If someone has one of these ranges, I would love to see a picture of the exact install location and how big the springs look. Hopefully with the added springs to the bottom of the door, it will bring it back to the original location.
Have a great evening,
Jeff
