And that would be going hard on them. I loved rehabbing a 1976 Trillium, but I must admit my first estimate of time was off by about 3 times.

Jim,

I have a little advantage. I have built 8 teardrop trailers. And I have done a complete shell off restoration of a 1952 Airstream. So I am reasonably familiar with most systems etc. I will order new axles and build new frames for both. They obviously need it. So I’ll just start with a good solid foundation and work from there.

Yeah, I renovate homes for a living, so there are lots of similar things, however a trailer has many features that are quite unique to them, and things are done different. Still, both can be lots of fun, with a lot of grunt work thrown in.

Sounds like you have a good idea what you've gotten yourself into. Well, more power to ya! Try to enjoy the journey. And of course, try to take photos as you work through it so others can enjoy vicariously.

One Ventura is a great find, but two right next to each other is truly unique. I'll be looking forward to the thread on your rebuild!

Quite a find and nice to know that two more nice vintage FG trailers will soon be back in circulation. I hope you have fun on the refurbs.
