Surfsiders:

I was told by many dealers that Surfside clearance light covers were unobtainable as the Dominion Auto company (Toronto) had gone out of business, however today I found that that Wesbar makes what appear to be exactly the same thing. For those of you who are too lazy or too obsessed with "original" look - here they are. The Wesbar part numbers are Amber 3490 /Red 3491
It is too dark to try to put these on tonight but they certainly appear to be an exact copy of the original. Now the downside is they cost $8.95 each + Tax and I know I can get complete LED replacements at Princess Auto for $12 + Tax. But then again I"m both too obsessed and too lazy to wire in new ones.

Betraying my obsession with the original look, I did replace the very weak tail/stop/turn lights with 7" round LED from Princess Auto. They are bright, look not too out of place and work like a charm. Were on sale $25 at Princess Auto - last time I saw them they were back to reg. price - $34 each.

Great find, Alan; I have been seeking stock replacements as well. Let us know if they fit as planned.

I replace clearance lights with those you can purchase from trucking supply outfits. They have a metal guard around the lens.

Since I did this, I've never had to replace one.

Just put the new Wes bar lenses on - they fit perfectly and are identical to the original.
