After many delays (fixing crank
windows, new curtains and upholstery,
battery installed,
brakes hooked up), we had our first camping trip in our 1979
Surfside to the Fairmont Hot Springs RV Park. We will never go back to "tenting"! Getting up in the morning, being warm and dry, not sleeping on the ground, lots of room, it was heaven! It was really surprising how
fiberglass rv people come together. We met three great families from the Calgary area, a family in a 1969 Dolphin, a couple in a Marvel (year unknown) and another family in a 1979
Surfside (pictures attached with their permission). Also there was a
Trillium and
Surfside sandwiched between two buses (but we know who was having more fun)!!!! We soaked, golfed and toured the area, it was a very relaxing week's vacation! Having never towed anything, we found it a breeze, no bouncing, no swaying, just followed us everywhere! We had the
brakes hooked up and felt at ease in the event any emergency arose. No problems with the trailer, we love it!!! Best of all were the
fiberglass families we met! The stories they told of their adventures made us want to live our own. Hopefully we'll meet up again. WHAT A BLAST!!!!
