Ventura owner

My intro post has to include the fact that hubby and I own a Ventura. As my name indicates - we live in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Just got back a few days ago from a trip to northern Manitoba where we saw lots of interesting sights - river rapids, waterfalls, a spring that gushed from a crack in the rock and prehistoric rock paintings.

Karen

I have never managed to successfully post photos on an online forum - maybe sometime! I have photos of the trailer and all the trips we've taken.

Somehow, I don't think Attachment 3636 is yours, Hazel. Shall I delete it for you? (Click on it to look at it for me, okay?)

Your pic is "Attachment 36636" - I think somehow there's a typo in there on the first one.

How odd! You are correct - the scene in a bathroom has nothing to do with me - I don't think I've even seen it before. I wonder where it came from?

I would appreciate it if it could be deleted.

My shot of our Ventura attached to "Nellie the Element" was taken at the Narrow Hills Provincial Park in Saskatchewan. As you can see it includes hubby, our canoe and our Furbabies.

Welcome! I also just bought a Ventura and drive a Honda Element... How did your tug handle the load? I have a big 3 week long trip coming up that will bring us through the rockies both through Banff and Jasper. I am very concerned if my Element will be a capible tug for the job and have been trorn between going for it or looking for a newer truck.

A Ventura AND an Element - Cool!

We haven't actually driven through the Rockies - thought about it though. The Element has worked well for us in SK and Alb (have to remember to take it out of overdrive though). This summer we will likely take the Element as far as Calgary - but after that we need room for more passengers (taking the grandkids camping) so we'll trade for our daughter's bigger vehicle. If that wasn't what was needed we would try it with the Element though.

Venturas and Elements make the perfect pair, both are the squared version of their cousins (Bolers and CRV's).

It looks like I will be giving the trip a try, I just went to look at a Ridgeline tonight and I did not like it as much as my E even with all the extra options and leather heated seats. We are on the BC coast so I will have to battle the mountain passes with my Element and Ventura soon (unless I find another tug I am happy to make the switch for). Have you weighed in your Ventura by any chance? I am in the middle of renovating ours so I have not had a chance to weight in yet and see if I will stay below the E's 1500lb rating.

We really like our Element - in fact it is the best vehicle we have ever owned. Too bad they aren't going to carry on making them.

Our Ventura weighed in at 1600lbs which technically speaking should be too much for an Element. The interesting thing is that an Element is basically a CRV wearing a different jacket and a CRV could haul a Ventura with ease. We are guessing that there aren't enough Elements out there for full testing to have been done. I read somewhere that in Australia the Element is rated to haul 3000 lbs.
