Panniers for the Burro - that's Saddlebags for you Gringos...
I could have titled this "light weight rear bumper storage" but that wouldn't be nearly as dramatic.
I purchased a pair of lightweight, fiberglass Shoei motorcycle saddlebags off Ebay and begged my Wasbund to install them on my little Burro. The result is spectacular. The Wasbund (who used to own an RV related business and is very proficient at welding) warned me to limit the weight I carry in each to +- 20 Lbs or so. Anyway, I am thrilled with the result. I carry my chalks, water hose, awning steaks and plastic mallet, et al - check it out!

It's because you're trying to link us to your computer, rather than upload to FiberglassRV: Picture posting help by Donna D. The link is within a thread, wait for it to load.

I like these - very clever re-usage for an alternate purpose. Are they detachable?

Yes, they come off with the twist of a screwdriver and wrench. I removed them for the winter and stored them in the garage.

That looks like a great lightweight idea for a bit more storage.

Tom - When I was shopping I looked at saddlebags in that price range. Keep in mind they are ABS, not fiberglass. I have never seen or fingered them so I don't know what the quality is but I'll bet they are locking, very lightweight, and waterproof. The lights are real cool!
I choose to go with fiberglass and was lucky to find my Shoei bags - outdated although brand new and stored in a storeroom somewhere. I think I paid around $150 or so. Mine didn't come with the light system - I wish they did.

Yea, I like yours better. I just posted this as these seem readily available if someone else was looking.

HA! I don't know which I enjoyed the most...the "Wasbund" or the great looking storage containers.
