Trying to remove the Furnace from my Bigfoot. It won't budge! I've removed all the screws from the front plate still won't come out. Anybody know how to remove the Furnace?
usually the chimney is a two piece affair and it either is held together with screws, or is a friction fit and becomes corroded together after a while.
Get the model and brand and do some sleuthing on the site document centre and on the internet, you might find an installation manual or instructions from someone who already did it
Hi Joe, Did some sleuthing and found that I have Hydro Flame Furnace. Model No. 7916D. Found a diagram but it doesn't show where screws would go. Thinking all I have to do is start hitting it with a Rubber Mallet to loosen it up. Not sure.

It's been a couple of years but I remember that I had to remove the furnace vent on the outside of the trailer and it was a tough task. I wrecked the old vent doing it so if you need to reuse it be careful.
Friction fit, at least on my 90's model. The exhaust pipe is two piece, and you need to pull them apart. Wiggle gently back & forth as you pull back. Then you can take the screws out from the shell on the outside and slide the other piece out, as installation is easier to do in reverse.
Yep, the furnace has a two piece exhaust/intake port.
Remove the screws on the outside and if stuck gently slide two putty knives/scrappers on either side and work it back and forth.
It is a close tolerance tube but is should slide out once you have it free.
Remember to take pictures where the wires for the controls go and how the tube comes out. You will thank yourself later when you go to put them back together.
