oxygen by bonair
:wave We just bought an oxygen. Does anyone else have one? How does it haul? Our first trip will be a long one - route 66 with a 32 ford roadster street rod. Anything you would add, change or take?We too will be rigging up a shower of some type.:wave

oxygen
You got one? how cool. We have mixed feelings about the Oxygen. I think it's mainly we know very little about them. I love the shape and looks, but not sure how roomy, but it would be fun to give it a try. Have you stayed in it yet? How does it feel. put some picture up, PLEASE,

Oxygen by Bonair
Took me awhile to figure out what an "Oxygen" by "Bonair" was but by use of that clever little device called a search engine I quickly found out. I'll share----Bonair is a Canadian manufacturer of travel trailers located in Thetford Mines, Quebec. The "Oxygen" is one of their lightweight fiberglass models. Complete pics and specs at their website <www.bonair-rv.com>

Hi Norm!
Hi Norm! We need some pictures! I saw Oxygen's sitting on many dealers lots this past summer, but never saw one of the road. Pretty neat looking rig!

Welcome to Fiberglass RV! I see webmaster Michael has already added "Oxygen" to the list of all our rigs!
Visit and post often, ok?

Welcome, welcome, welcome!
Yes, Michael, I noticed the two lines. It is really looking great.
All we need now is for Norman and Jean to take a picture while out camping and you can put it on the front page ;)

:wave Norm and Jean,
What part of Route 66 will you be traveling? We have members that traveled quite a bit of the old Route 66 last summer on their way to the Rocky Mountain Rally. They started in California.

hi,Jean here Norman's down in the machine shop mfg. more parts for the '32 he's building. The plan is to finish by spring and sometime`may or`june to head south to Chicago and west to L.A., north to B.C. and home through the prairies. He's got a month off -I don't, I may need a new job.
That's pretty cool to see the Oxygen up there right away on the cover! Way to go Michael.
Tom- As for buying it- we got it here in Ontario,Canada. My brother saw one on a trailer lot in Calgary last year. Our dealer said that there is one new one left in Quebec. They come in colours-ours is gray, others are white or yellow.

What a rig!
Definitely need a picture of that rig when you guys hitch up. An Oxygen and '32 roadster....sweet.
My dream tow vehicle would be an old woody...like a '48...year isn't all that important...just the era.
Yep...get that camera warmed up and ready to take some pics!

I'm going to start a trailer collection. :chin but you got the grey. well, I'll reserve judgment untill I see your pictures, but that sounds VERY nice. You aren't by any chance going through Oklahoma or Kansas on the way to LA? That sounds like a dream vacation. You are going too, aren't you, Jean? Normans 1 month is for get ready, right?

oh yes I'm going on the trip.Norm has one month off. Can that trip be done in 4 weeks? Norm has been getting ready for this trip for 2 years (i.e. he's been building the car for that long) and has 5 months work left.

We will be going through a small corner of Kansas and across the top of Okla. following the old route 66 as much as possible. How is camping along that way? We would probably want somewhat more security than dry-land would provide.
Photos will have to wait. We haven't figured out the scanner yet.

Arizona
The Mulloys are contemplating quite a trek:
<img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3e058a66e5023rt66.jpg/>
That trip is about 7,000 miles (11,270 km) on the superslab, more on Route 66. I wouldn't attempt that in thirty days, but you're probably about 100 years younger than I. I wish you well and I'm sure you'll have a great time.
When you come through Arizona, you must see the Grand Canyon which isn't far off Route 66. Other sites you might want to see are the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, Sunset Crater and Walnut Canyon. All are along your route.
You can see temperatures well over 100ºF (38ºC) here in the southwest desert in June, earlier would be better. I don't suppose Norman is putting air conditioning in that deuce, what of the Oxygen? Through most of Arizona, you'll be above 5,000 ft (1,500m) which will help keep you cool at night.
I've found the following web site to be helpful in trip planning. The AZ (Arizona) section is very helpful.
http://camping.miningco.com/blaast.htm
Come on you others along Route 66, let the Mulloys hear about your state. That's IL, MO, KS, OK, TX, NM, AZ and CA.
