Playpac photos

Taking some time to send a few photos of our camper.

Who says you don't meet great people, this is my wife and I standing with the Indiana state troopers who assisted us when our Playpac broke loose on its maiden voyage home late at night and rolled down a 50-foot embankment.

Great people!

Who recalls their first flat-bed ride home?

Safe inside my garage awaiting restoration, next to my VW.

Dirty interior, wasps, ants, dead bugs -

I still like this - and consider myself lucky to be one of the few that still have one. Regards Doyle

You ARE lucky. Most runaway trailers dig the tongue into the ground and flip. Must have been heavier at the back end!

Thanks Charley Y - I think what saved the camper might have been that extra weight of the AC unit in the back. It just lifted the tongue up in the air and slid on it rear end all the way down the grassy hill. Never saw anything like it before - it was really late, no traffic on the road beside us - a perfect accident if there is such a thing.

Taught me to respect to how to do it properly - the first time =everytime I consider towing

Keep me in mind I like this site regards Doyle

Hey Doyle, I've poked around your posts on the Playpac here and cannot believe it made it down the embankment!!! Its ironic that the prior owner cutting up the rear window for the AC is what saved the camper from total destruction as it slid down the hill on its rear end. With that context the rear window repair seems like a minor issue.

I know you are (or have) ordering the dome... how has the rest of the project come along? Any update pictures?

My wife and I have been using the Playpac for a year now and it is the perfect size for the two of us. I do not miss my long, long trailer at all!

Most interesting to me as a fellow air-head... are you going to hitch it up to that '70 bug?

Checking to see if there is any interest in the following original items from this Playpac before they are tossed from a remodel:
Water tank
Stove
Sink
Bench cushions (2 x bottom - one w/ wood, 1 x back)

Cushions in NC, other items in IL. Plan to discard if no response by end of October
