Just got back from 2 wks. vacation in FL. Spent 1 wk. near Fort Myers Beach, than a few nights at Disney World. Drove appx 2900 trouble free miles. Trip down we averaged 15.8 MPG until we got into FL., than milage dropped to 14 MPG when we hit the west coast and were in stop and go traffic. On the way home I was averaging 16 MPG up to Charlston SC, than next day was driving into the wind and rain so milage dropped to 13.8 MPG. Weather was nice the entire vacation. We stayed at San Carlos RV Park which is convenient to everything. We had an opportunity to try out our 370 Sea Eagle inflatable boat, inflates and deflates easily and was just perfect for 2 adults and 2 dogs. We had such a nice time we'd like to make a habit of it. COME ON SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!

PS Have to go out and winterize the plumbing again, we're supposed to get a couple of 18 degree nights now. What a bummer.

Hi: Artspe... One of the days we were in Ft.Myers Beach area we drove past San Carlos RV Pk. How'd you manage to shoehorn in an EGG beside those Bulgemobile MO HOs??? You'd certainly be surrounded by water!!! Then you have to come home to a "Reality Cheque"

San Carlos was a really nice place, the sites are small, but we had our own dock and the location was perfect. 1 mile to the beach (can walk or bike) and great casual seafood resteurants even closer. A lot of snow birds but also some smaller units. If you want to be close to everything this place is well located. Speaking of weather, we're supposed to have 7" to 13" of snow in the next 24 hours (if it happens, it will be the most here in many years). Talking of big motor homes, disney world had more than I even knew existed!!!
