1985 Uhaul 16 VT camper $4500.00-sold

For sale is a 1985 Uhaul 16 VT camper. It has hydraulic surge brakes, (so no brake box is needed). It has a shower room with a porta potti and sink. It has air condition, a furnace, two burner cook stove, hot water heater, kitchen sink, 30 AMP hookup, water pump and fresh water storage, cable hook up for TV, small closet to hang clothes and lots of storage. The carpet has some stains and would look better if replaced or cleaned. It also has plenty of storage with a small safe in one of the storage compartments. There is a small table that makes a twin bed and a larger table that makes a full size bed. There is a solar battery charger on the roof which sends charge to the battery. These vintage campers were built in 1984-1985. From my research they only made 200 of these campers and very few are around anymore. I purchased the unit and my wife decided she would rather keep our 2005 camper, She didn’t share the love of the vintage camper as I did. I pulled it with my Chevrolet Colorado at 65 MPH with no swaying. It shows it weighs 2000 lbs on the sticker on the unit. Not looking to make money on the unit just relisting it for someone that can enjoy the vintage look. Located in: Glade ValleyNorth Carolina. If interested give me a call. 336-200-4039

I don't think you will have to wait long for a buyer.

Too bad you couldn't get your wife to go with you and look at the trailer before buying. But it should sell ok for you anyway.

Is that a roof AC I see up there?

Some body is getting a great deal. The only mods. I see are the bath faucet some shelves and a paint job on the inside doors and storage slides together with a new head liner. Does it have a built in fridge? Looks like a vent for one.

Do you mean that your wife wanted the smaller one? I went from small to the VT and would not be without the bathroom again.

In fact, I think I will use some of the ideas (or add to the hubby's to-do list) of the bathroom in that VT.

Tell the buyer to join us here and at www.uhaulcamper.com.

Not really small she likes the new ones. So, right now we are looking at the new 16. And yea the uhaul has a fridge that looks original. It just need alot of cleaning and some personal touches.

We camped with a SOTF lady, she had an old restored camper, it was a Cat-O-Lac Deville. Guess how they dreamed up that name! Only one I've ever seen.

OK, I am going to be a curmudgeon here. I do not like to see campers that are so rare as this one painted up. I wish she would find a way to do it up while keeping the Uhaul original look like you did Pam.

Uhaul is sold

The lady claiming to be from the sistersonthefly.com was a scam. Planned to pick it up and then started making excuses at the last minute and wanted to wire me the money. So, closed that one down and today a man and his family from Pennsylvania drove down eight hours and bought it. I hope they are happy with it and maybe you all will hear from him on the forum. I directed him this way. His name is Bill.

Frankly, with such an nice trailer, at such a reasonable price, I am surprised that it did not sell sooner.

The buyer just called me after five hours on the road and said he had a flat. I don't know if he ran over something or not because we both checked out the tires before he left and they looked new with good tread. Not sure what he expected me to do five hours away. I know he seemed agitated but he knew he was buying AS-IS and that’s why I had a Bill of sell typed up that said AS-IS and we went and had it notarized. I hate he had a flat but he could've ran over something. I Don't Know.
