UHaul rented these
light weight campers in the 1980’s and later
sold them to the public. They were built tough and built to last. Our 13 foot camper is clean, and in good shape and road worthy. It tows super easy, I estimate it doesn’t weigh more than 1200 lbs. It doesn’t change our gas mileage hardly at all. We love the
fiberglass, inside and out, which is low maintenance. The frame is in good condition. We have new radial
tires, hubcaps, and hitch with 2” ball.
The inside has a double bed in the back that converts easily to seating and one person can sleep on the bench in the front. There is a two burner
propane stove that works, sink with water hookup, the original ice box that keeps food cold. Under the front seat is room for a porta potty. It has newer cushions, nice curtains and updated pillows and carpet all, thanks to my wife. 12 volt
lighting, deep cell
battery with 110 volt and
solar charging. It has an air vent on the top and a
solar panel that works and charges the
battery. We did remove the original gas
furnace as we were afraid it was not safe. We use an electric heater and it works fine. There is plenty of storage for your excursions. It has the rare original screen door that many
UHaul camper folks covet.
Our
UHaul is always the talk of the campground. These rare vintage campers are so popular, there is even a Facebook page dedicated to them. The reason we are selling our beloved UHaul CT-13 camper is we found the other model UHaul made. Wife wanted to keep both, but that is not an option!
