Rim Size on 16' Scamp

What is the rim size and lug pattern on a 16' Scamp trailer?

Just purchased a used trailer from an auction and need to purchase a spare tire for the long tow home.

Thanks
D&L

You don't say what year your trailer is.
Early Scamp 16s were equipped with 4 lug 13" wheels but I am going to assume that your trailer is less than 30 years of age. That being the case, the standard wheel will be a 13" wheel which is 5 on 4.5 with zero offset, with an optional 14" available.
Most likely you will have a13" wheel with a 175/80 tire.
The best answer, if possible of course, is to call the seller and have him read the size from the side wall.

My 1988 was 4 lug 13" until I changed the axle.

In the video it looks like a 5 lug wheel.

Many thanks all. I appreciate your responses.
I purchased this trailer from an auction; sight unseen. Sold as government liquidation at Ft Wainwright (Fairbanks) AK. I was told it was used as a rental trailer for service families. Its in not too bad of condition. Just don't want to risk a flat tire or worse.

I don't know the year since the VIN# was not disclosed on the auction. From limited pictures I can kind of make out 4 or 5 lugs but not sure. I was hoping to purchase a spare tire in Anchorage and drive to Fairbanks.

Considering the distance you will travel to get home, consider buying 2 spare tires/wheels. If the existing tires turn out to be very old, both could be rotted.

And my 1988 was 4 lug on 14" tires, right from the factory.. until I changed the axle.

Too many known differences to make an educated guess for you D&L, although I'd plan on replacing ALL the tires if purchased used. Especially if you're planning a long trip. Better to be safe than sorry.

Maybe another forum member could take a look at the video in the auction website and pause it when it is showing the wheel. I looked at it again tonight and it really looks like a 5 lug.
